Walnut table
Silent chair
My early love for wood working let me to graduate in 1996 from the Highschool of wood and furniture in Topoľčany.I furthered my education in design in 2002 by graduating with a Master degree in industrial design from the University of technology, Bratislava.
I remember having a white little stool once to which I was allowed tack down nails. I would keep tacking them down into the stool until my father sat on one of them. I was two years old then. This is my first hammer (1).
I inherited the preference for wood from my dad, who is a carpenter and also from my granddad, who was a joiner. This is the first saw they allowed me to use (2).
A saw that I borrowed secretly. It is much bigger than the first one with much bigger teeth. Sawing was much quicker and plus the feeling of using something I coughtn't (3).
Granddad’s self made woodworking machine, which I was allowed to use after finishing the High School of Wood and Furniture (4).
